Business Scope

Business Philosophy
Our business model must adhere closely to our mission. We make returns on realizing and expanding business value(revenue) made by our “targets”. We realize our targets’ business value by doing the following :
1.
Generate short-term revenue to keep cash flowing, and build up customer base
2.
Streamline and optimize operation for fast, sustainable growth
3.
Raise the required capital to finance the whole operation
This operation will typically take between 2~5 years.
We make our profits by becoming our targets’ shareholders, through grants / purchases / investments of their shares. We may then sell the shares at the end of the operation, or decide to hold for future sale / dividends.
Targets
W&H Partners primarily focus on early-stage startups that either operate in new emerging markets or possess novel technology that can innovate existing industries, in the global context.
While they may vary from time to time, here are some of the characteristics we are looking for :
Startups that have successfully validated high customer value and a viable business model
Under 5 years since establishment
New industry or disruptive technology → high growth potential (or Market HYPE)
Can target global audience

The following are the three main deal structures we could adopt. The actual deal structure may be one of them, a mix of them, or something else depending on the target company.

Receive compensation in the form of salaries/incentives/stock options/existing shares/etc. for participating as full-time management personnel

Receive fees for outsourcing services

Explore how target nurture innovation, kickstart commercialisation, and help them break into new markets

Acquire part of the target’s shares owned by the founder/team/existing investors

Primarily through investment capital
An example of deal structure that involves #2 and #3 would be a case where we buy out the founder(#2) and also invest in the firm(#3) to raise funds required ASAP.
